Welcome back, Jennifer Hudson!
I can exclusively tell you that Ms. Hudson will return to the stage for the first time since her horrific family tragedy at next month's Super Bowl.
The Grammy-nominated songbird will sing the national anthem before the big gridiron game on Feb. 1 in Tampa, Fla.
"She certainly can nail it,'" a source just told me. "She proved it at the Democratic National Convention."

Britney Spears' housewarming party is already in full swing—in her heart.
"I took my babies to our new home, and they loved it! I can't wait to move in," the pop star wrote Tuesday on her website.
Her new digs are rumored to be in the exclusive Oaks community in Calabasas, Calif., where she was spotted with her entourage earlier today unloading some of her sons' toys outside a mansion dubbed "Château Sueños," or "Dream House."
The house, which was most recently listed for $8.99 million, looks to still be on the market after six months, but realtor Jeff Biebuyck tells E! News that the listing "should have been updated."

"For once and for all, the Arrested Development movie is happening!" Will Arnett tells us today.
But the big question is whether a certain beloved Bluth will be there: Superbad and Juno star Michael Cera.
That's the word from Arnett, Jason Bateman and producer Mitch Hurwitz, who met with reporters to promote their new animated Fox series, Sit Down, Shut Up.
"I hope so," Hurwitz tells me when asked if Cera will do the big-screen version of Arrested, which Hurwitz describes as "Valkyrie meets Hotel for Dogs." "We're just trying to get all the actors on board."
According to inside sources close to the deal, all of the main Arrested cast members have signed on to the movie except Cera, aka George-Michael Bluth.
"I know he's thinking about it," Bateman tells us. "And we're all awaiting some finality to all of that so Mitch can get writing."
So why is Cera holding out? And what's the movie all about?

We know Jackie Chan has the martial arts moves of a master...but how is he at trimming bonsai?
The Hong Kong-born action star is in talks to take on the role of Mr. Miyagi in an upcoming remake of The Karate Kid, per the Hollywood Reporter.
The premise would be similar to the 1984 original, in that Chan would be playing mentor to a teen who's being harassed by bullies and is in need of both philosophical guidance and some sweet self-defense moves.
Will and Jada's kid, Jaden Smith, who cut his drama chops alongside dad in The Pursuit of Happyness, is set to don the karate gi (and perhaps the showerhead costume) once worn so proudly by Ralph Macchio.
But the question remains, how do you think the swift-footed Chan—who at 54 is still out there doing his own stunts—will stack up against the late Pat Morita, who played the sage sensei Mr. Miyagi in four Karate Kid films and had a knack for saying it all with nothing but a stare?
Aunty Deolaaa!! Im sooo happy for you, may the Lord continue to order your footsteps towards success, prosperity, peace, and happiness. This book is a sign of your victory from heartbreak and moving from sadness into infinite JOY, love you always and you will always have my support! SMOOCHES!!!
